Another tag, I’m getting bored with them now

2007-12-09-smalltag.jpg

but, this is the first one I’ve ever done with SU stamps.

I dropped off Caz’s Magnolia stamps, and picked up my first SU order.  I am now the proud owner of a Stamp Caddy, with sweet F.A. to fill it with, plus three SU sets: Loads of Love; Loads of Love Accessories and Bud Basics.

I still have soooooooo many tags to do, so better press on.

Have a Good Knight tag

2007-12-07-goodknight.jpg

Not much to say about this one, except that it’s a Sugar Nellie stamp, and one of Toodles favourites. – it’ll probably find it on to Guy’s bottle of extremely expensive port.

Yay, my Magnolia order has arrived

but no sign of the order Guy did for my birthday.  I think I now know the answer.  It would seem that the Dreamcottage site keeps putting in British Virgin Isles instead of Great Britain or United Kingdom.  Not sure if that’s a fault with their system, or our stupidity when trying to work with a Swedish language site?

My package has been via BVE, and I can now imagine my birthday rubbah basking on a white beach, with waves washing against the sand, sipping cocktails and having a fine old time – I’ll probably get a postcard on Tuesday!

I am particularly pleased that my order turned up anyway, as I owe Caz half of the package – and as she has my SU stuff, I’d have felt guilty taking things and not leaving anything.  The whole original Maggie order all over again.  I can now dash over there tomorrow and get my hands on the SU bits – woooooooohhhhhhhhhhh, the first ever I have owned (I know I’m sad but go with me).

I will then have a SU Stamp Caddy – which will need filling in the New Year – did I hear you mention New Year craft ban?  I’ve joined the SU Monthly Club with Caz, so I will take my meagre fifteen quid buget and use that to fill it (I wil be good, I will be honestly).

I’ve just run into a small problem with the ever growing Magnolias, my CD case that I normally use is now full.  I think I might convert to the Bella and Sugar Nellie storage solution – which is having the image laminated and in a baggie, then hung off a giant book ring – seems to work.

This afternoon I have the joys of the School Christmas Fayre – I’d love to say it’s a joy….but I can’t………and nobody will ever be able to make me.  I hate the whole sorry spectacle.  Toodles has currently got her friend Molly here for lunch, and then we are off to sample its delights.

Think of me, and on my behalf have a nice cozy afternoon by the fireside with a hot choccie and a film.

Sweet Nellie Tag

Sugar with Hat

I’m well down the list of tags I need to make, but still have plenty more to do yet.  This year’s theme is pretty much Sugar Nellie tags I think.

Supplies

  • Stamp: Sugar Nellie 0701
  • Sage Dark Prism cardstock
  • White Bazzill cardstock
  • Papershaper concave punch
  • Chiaro Zoomz
  • “Alyssa” Prima Crazy Daisy
  • Palette Noir Ink
  • COPICs:  Skin White (E00); Blush (R20); Cool Gray (C1); Warm Grey (WG5); Caramel (YR14); Mallow (v15); Lime Green (G21); Pale Olive (YG95)
  • Scrapworks rubons in pale green
  • Lovely new Woodware Fingerguard Punch with Victorian Blade fitted
  • Ribbon in Bright Green (SG-me! spring release) and variaged pink ribbon

How to:

  1. Stamp out the Nellie image using Palette Noir, and colour in with COPICs.
  2. Cut out using Victorian blade, and concave punch the corners.
  3. Add “merry” and “xmas” either side of the image.
  4. Matt this on Dark Sage cardstock, and punch a corner in the upper lefthand side.  Thread and tie ribbon in a bow.
  5. Place green and lilac Crazy Daisies on bottom righthand side, with a Chiaro Zoomz in the centre.

Lovely surprise last night when Guy and I settled down to watch our usual Thursday late night entertainment, as the Richardson bloke appeared in some sketches on Comedy Shuffle (3:0 Jon) – fabbie.  Adam Buxton hosted it, and bearing in mind that there were some very odd acts on, he too did very well.

Dr Coke Cola (or whatever his name is) was also on.  He’s painfully thin and wears very little other than y-fronts and woolie scraft that looks like it’s been knitted by his Gran – very weird, but quite funny in an odd sort of way.

Another bit of comedy based news delighed me yesteday, Mitchell & Webb won awards for Peep Show, and the lovely Mr Mitchell also got best comdey actor – very well deserved!

Well, a bad day has now turned truly horrible

I now had such a massive arugment with my son, sparked off by actually having the cheek to buy furniture for his room, that he’s left home……….a very Merry Christmas to me then.

I’m off to bed in a stinking mood now – take my advice if you are thinking about having children just buy a teddy bear!

Woooo hooo, finally got a concave punch

for making Ticket Corners – it’s not an SU one, but better than nowt.  Big thank you to Petra, who put me on to it (and by the way Petra you left your brayer here on Friday).

Also the other Sugar Nellies that I had somehow forgotten to order arrived…….I love the pirate, and he’s going to be perfect to adorn FIL’s Navy Rum bottle that I need to wrap up.

I’ve also got word that my Woodware blades have been despatched, but no word yet on the Trimmer (I had to get them from separate places).

I am very annoyed that the wheelie bin I ordered, does not appear to have been despatched despite the fact that I paid for it well over a week ago, and they then took until Monday to tell me they didn’t have the colour I wanted.  We resolved the colour issue, but still no bin – now I know how Jon Ricardson feels……….Toodles is now humming the Wheelie Bin song from the podcast (her favourite podcast episode ever) by way of amusement, and to wind me up.

Talking of Toodles, she is happily colouring with my COPICS – this is not a good idea they are my toys and I do not share nicely.  I have repeatedly advised her of the dangers of medling with these without my knowledge…..I would have to put her up for adoption for certain if she did that!

Right, I’m off to find my hot water bottle – see ya.

and another Blog Candy Bag

2007-12-05-blogbag1b.jpg

but I guess it’s because it’s near Christmas you are all too busy to comment…….so, it won’t be hard to decide who get the blog candy bags!

Soz about the awful images (especially the messy background), but at this time of year light levels in the evening are really not the best.

Anyhoo, that’s two of them ready to go to new homes now.

After picking Lydia up after school, we dashed off to Tonbridge and got caught in the heaviest rain I’ve seen for many a long year…..I still feel cold and clammy even a few hours later from it – seriously, we looked like drowned rats after running the 200 yards to the shop.

Still we did manage to get Rob’s Christmas present, and I now only have Guy and a few sundries to get……….phew, nearly there.

Guy has let slip that he placed a nice order of Magnolia’s for my birthday on Tuesday, but that he is worried that they haven’t come yet (ordered on 13th November apparently).  I’m waiting for an order from them too, but I placed mine around the 18th – fingers crossed they turn up before Tuesday.

No rowing for me tonight, especially after soaking earlier, I’m off to cuddle up in bed and watch a bit of TV instead – bad girl.

Another 2-5-7-10 bag nearly done for Blog Candy

I’m just waiting for the bling to dry, and then I can put it together.

Don’t forget to tell me what makes you laugh and why.
