There will be a temporary shut down of the Stamp Galaxy Store at some point tomorrow, Friday 1st May whilst we do some essential update, but the good news is it won’t take too long and we will be back with a better shop …. able to offer discount codes and a whole lot more!
There are a few “second” stmaps to be had, and if you are interested please use the email address (which can be found on their blog www.toodlesandbinks.blogspot.com) for details.
this week the Copics Colour Challenge is right up my street, with Acid Yellow, Brick Beige (which I use all of the time) and Mint Green (which is another favourite of mine).
The fact that Adele used Clive Cockran as her DT piece this week, made me smile …… he really is so lovely. I also noticed that he has been seen on some other blogs today, and Leann is in love with Guiseppe, but don’t tell me Leann as she can’t afford the therapy for him!
Right, despite the fact that I have at least three unfinished projects on my desk I am off for a colouring session …. laters peeps.
I was waiting to collect some cooked rubbah from the Stamp Elf, when I noticed a nice piece of textured offcut in the scrap bin, so sneaked in with the new sheets and mounted it on a spare piece of UMount …… perfect frilly texture stamp that will come in handy for loads of things.
which is the most frustrating thing. It was mega, mega busy at work, and I simply didn’t have a moment to take a breath yesterday, but at least the day does fly by. The disappointing bit was that the lovely Mark Olver (I have mentioned him before on the blog, and he is the inspiration behind Mark & Milo Stamp) was gigging in Tunbridge Wells at Trinity Theatre.
I had forgotten to get tickets (not normally a problem as they are not normally sold out, and even if they are returns that come in quite early, so I tried as soon as the box office opened to find they were sold out, so they put me on the waiting list and I was the only one on it. Wonderful, I would easily get the returns …. the day went on no phone call whatsoever …. so we went about my day … with minor things going wrong ….. had my hair done a fabbie purple …..Guy got home late and we went out to eat at the Harrow in Ightham Common ….. at 7.59 pm exactly I had just eaten 2 mouthfulls of delish pate when my phone went to advise that they had 2 returns ……. now even if we had bolted down our food, we wouldn’t have made it to Tunbridge Wells by about 9 …… so we had to thank them and decline …… bummer! It has taught me a valuable lesson to be more organised, and actually bloody book something in good time that I really wanted to see.
I missed out on a lovely supper at the Trinity and also on saying hi to Mark, still we will have to now have a weekend in Bristol to see him at the Oppo Commedy Club.
Good news for the day: plates arrived and so the cookin’ will begin tomorrow night, and we will if all goes well despatch priority orders by Saturday.
Still further good news, I love my purple hair ……
The night Add text here
oh my goodness, it just looks really messy at the moment – I need to have a tidy, but would just like to finish the current project I am working on first I think.
I didn’t get much time to work on my current project last night (apart from cutting the front cover and painting the edge of the tag book), but the paint should be dry this afternoon when I can hopefully get a bit more done, after my meeting with the lovely Alan ………………..
ahhhh yessssssss …………….. Alan ……………… it will kill me not to say any more about this for the time being, truly it will!!
I’ve been meaning to have a go at stamping onto fabric for some time, and so on my way to Chicken Shack Craft Club on Saturday I called into the local quilting shop to pick up some supplies.
I am just about to start working on a video tutorial for Toodles & Binks Blog, and so have just had a really quick first go at trying to do it – I am actually quite pleased that it has turned out quite nicely, but have leart that if any of the COPICs are quite juicy they will run if you are not super careful, or unless you have a really, really light touch.
On the Toodles & Binks Blog I have listed a list of supplies if you fancy playing along when I upload the video, which hopefully I will have done by next Saturday.
First thing I popped into Sevenoaks to go to the Puddleducks, the local quilting centre and bought some calico to stamp onto, then next off to Chick Shack Craft Club in South Nutfield to see Caz and all the lovely crafting ladies, then home for a quick sandwich and out the door again for a girls night out.
I cannot do anything too taxing today, so I have just ordered a couple more COPICS to add to my collection, and am in the process of cooking a roast chicken, whilst listening to the film score from Twilight (thank Caz honey, it was a fabulous surprise).
It’s now really difficult to keep track of what markers I have, so I printed off the Copic Colour Chart, and have just scribbled my colours on, I will keep in my stamp folder, and then it can easily be pulled out for reference in the future.
Actually, it will be enormously helpful to use on of these when I do colouring, so that I can keep a tally of exactly which pens I used for a project.
