My entry in Clare’s CJ

we all had to do file folders to go inside the lunch pail, and this was my entry.
On the outside (which was covered with SEI) I used my large Stampington Cube, a Paper Artsy image and one of the butterflies images from the Walk in the Garden Cartridge (Cricut), oh and a load of Hero Art 3mm gems. The whole thing was edged with Whispers Dye Ink in Plum.
The inside was painted with Twinkling H20’s and then stamped with Hero Arts Butterfly Border and a very old swirly stamp, then a piece of cream ric rac and a purple and white hydrangea by Angel Kisses.

Wednesday Stamper – Doors

mmmm, well not sure about this one at all, but at least I’ve contributed.

Turned out way better in my head, ifykwim!

Lefthand page of CJ

this is the left hand side from yesterday’s post, I might have to move the word “love” as I stupidly didn’t check where the holes for the posts went.

I need to re-scan the righthand page as I accidentally deleted it.

Stamps used: Paper Artsy Kids Plate, Anita’s Seahorse and Heart background.

Inks: Crystal Blush re-inker, Pearlescent Purple and Coffee Brilliance and Antique Linen and Old Paper Distress Inks

I got a nice surprise this morning, Guy came back from Sevenoaks bearing a Pine Green Whispers Dye Ink for me.

Apart from that, I’ve been busily houseworking, and then took Lydia swimming this afternoon.

We’ve just had fish and chips for supper, and are about to settle down to a dose of Dr Who.

Wedding Acceptance

for Guy’s brother – he’s getting married again in July, and Guy feels that he has to go, so I am very reluctantly being dragged along.

Fortunately, we will only have to suffer the Registry Office service and small meal afterwards, then we can high tail it home again…..but in any event, we needed an acceptance, so I’ve spent a few minutes this morning knocking one up.

Card base is a 12 x 6″ piece of Bazzil folded in half to make a 6 x 6″ card, my new favourite card blank to make at the moment. The paper is by Sweetwater, and the stamp along the left hand edge is my new one that I got yesterday (another Do Crafts), which is stamped in the other new purchase from yesterday a Whispers Dye Ink in Port Wine. Only other stamp on this is the heart from Aud’s Cat’s House Sheet.

The central image is from a Paper Artsy Picture pack (008), which is just such a lovely quick way to get a central image. You get two transparencies and two pictures per pack.

We enjoyed the film I mentioned yesterday, and all three of us ended up sobbing – quite unexpected to find a sad part like that in the middle of a film (I won’t spoil it for people and say what happend). It was a cracking watch, and would highly recommend it for kids about Lydia’s age and adults alike.

I’m sitting here eagerly anticipated a cooked brunch, which is on the go at the moment, then we are off to watch Lydia dive a bit later on.

Quick Altered Notebook last night

Lydia and I had a little bit of a falling out briefly last night, which is highly unusual as she is usually an uber good girl (all sorted now), so to please her a little afterwards I altered a really cute plain notebook we picked up from Paperchase in Tunbridge Wells.
On the back I used the Paper Artsy Kids Plate 2 with my selection of Whispers Dye Inks, and the front the Shore Cliff Trim set with the same inks. Then just ran an Azurite Fluid Chalk Ink around the edges, and tied ribbon to the spine – she loves it, we are friends again, and the world is rosie.
I can’t wait to I get home from the Kingdom of Blahhell, as there will be a new Webisode to watch from Craft TV – yay!!

Just Clowning Around

I just took a tag from a pack of Tag it all’s (SG-me!), and painted with some left over Amethyst Alchemy (Stewart Gill). The other side I covered with some spotty paper by SEI. The edged with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.
Tore a post it note, and covered the top 2/3rd’s of the tag, and stamped the Tickets Stamp (Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz) in Dusty Concord DI. I also stamped some of the more of the tickets onto the SEI paper, cut them out, and edged with a Gold Marvey Mettalic Marker.
Removed the post-it note, and then above the stamped tickets, stamped “Just Clowing Around” image from Pierrot Plate 1 (Paper Artsy) in Peeled Paint Distress Ink. On top of that was stamped a section of the tag from the same plate in Dusty Concord, and then on top of that another Just Clowing Around in the Peeled Paint.
I then mounted the cut out tickets on to the tag, the two bottom ones just with double sided tape, and the top one with a tiny bit of silicon glue for a little dimension. I then added Glossy Accents to the top ticket, and stamped some green twill to the top of the Tag it all.

On the spotty side of the Tag it all, I stamped the “Keep this coupon” image in Timber Brown StazOn from the same plate, and the Heart from Pierrot Plate 4 (Paper Artsy) in Peeled Paint Distress Ink.
