Adam … you’re so tweet (RRP-007)

I need to use this stamp, but had to come up with some kind of festive twist with it.

Ingredients

Actually, I’ve moved things on again since taking this, and have made a rectangular box to place a goat in (yes, a goat ….. well, a cyber goat anyway from Oxfam) – I thought I’d put a little label that says “care:  contents contain nuts” on it too.  I am currently in the process of cutting out a massive amount of Limeade Snowflakes and circle middles to go all around the edge.  As well as the cyber goat there will be an Adam stamp (mounted on kling) and some liquer choccies.

I am working on a detailed project sheet for this, and will post it on the Toodles & Binks blog later on today, but thought I’d share in the meanwhile.

Cute Card Thursday (8) Garden and (9) Gems combined

I’d started doing Cute Card Thursday last week, which had a Garden theme, and didn’t have time to finish it, so I combined the gems (or in this case Mink Special Edition Zoomz) on to the card to cover both challenges.

Acutally, it works quite well, because The Galaxy put up some Zoomz as prizes on the Challenge this week, so it’s quite appropriate to include Zoomz on my card – not hard though, as I use them all the time anyway.

Supplies:

Pretty straight forward card really, cut out the innter circle from white cardstock, stamped on the summer tree image from the set and coloured in with COPICS.  Matted on pink, then green, then brown cardstock.

Stamped french manuscript on pink cardstock twice (one below the other), the cut out and inked on Chocolate Chip ink.  Put on a larger than I would normally use matt, and then used then produced ticket corners.  Tied round some brown organza ribbon, and a tiny scrap of cream silk ribbon. ** Zindorf’s inspiring me so much at the moment, and the sponged on Chocolate Chip ink was a homage to her, also I saw a fabbie card on Deb‘s blog, and this gave me the idea for using the script stamp (I think the original card came from Heather).

The floral pattern paper was cut to size, and edged with Old Olive ink, then placed on the lefthand side, added the manuscript section over the top, and the circle image over this positioned slightly to the top right.

Zoomz placed at bottom left, and more coffee organza round spine.

I will place an insert inside with a stamped image, and decorate the envie as usual, and also I stamp an old Handstamped image on the back of the card (it’s an old SU set that I bought from Caz).

***

In our house, these pesky Sylvanian’s get everywhere (as you can see from the pic).  Lydia’s just taken delivery of the Wedding Chapel, thus the bridge and groom are out for a photographic opportunity before getting hitched!

Thank to Guy I got a better picture of the card than my first attempt, apparently (and as he’s just proved) it’s not the camera, but me.  I think I really do need to invest in a light tent, as I can’t phaff around taking things outside to photograph.

Hopefully, when I get a studio outside, then I can have a light tent permanently set up.

Cruisabella

Supplies:

How to:-

  1. Take a piece of 12×12 Wizard Medium cardstock, and cut in half. Using the Scor-it board score this 6×12 piece of cardstock in half, and fold to make a card blank.
  2. Stamp the daisy from the Paper Salon Tin over the top half of the card. Colour them in with the dark green sugarloaf marker and the Stardust Pen.
  3. Cut a piece of the pattern paper from the Mellow pack and add across the bottom half of the card.
  4. Place a strip of ribbon across the join. I used a glue line for stability.
  5. With the white cardstock (I used the triangle from another card), stamp the Cruisabella with the Black Memories ink. Colour in with the COPIC markers.
  6. Matt this triangle onto the Intense Kiwi cardstock, and stick over the card centrally using the Scrapbook Adhesive. Cut off the excess from the edges of the card.
  7. Add a Prima Daisy to the apex of the triangle with with Scrapbook Adhesive. Add three Hero Arts gems to the centre.
  8. Also stick a gem to the centre of the largest wheel, and also three as if they are coming from the exhaust.
  9. Stamp the “wishing you a birthday that is jsut your style” on the inside of the card.
  10. I also added glossy accents to the windscreen portion of the stamp, but after I’d taken the picture.
  11. Stamp a pearl 6×6 envelope with the Build a Bloom stamps for a finishing touch.

This card is for my friend Karen, who has a birthday on Saturday, so I also added a bit of Chinese Orange to the Bella’s hair (as Karen has the most beautiful auburn hair). She also, like me, adores purple.
