Cute Card Thursday (8) Garden and (9) Gems combined
I’d started doing Cute Card Thursday last week, which had a Garden theme, and didn’t have time to finish it, so I combined the gems (or in this case Mink Special Edition Zoomz) on to the card to cover both challenges.
Acutally, it works quite well, because The Galaxy put up some Zoomz as prizes on the Challenge this week, so it’s quite appropriate to include Zoomz on my card - not hard though, as I use them all the time anyway.
Supplies:
- Petrol Blue, Pink & Brown cardstock (Prism) & Whispers White (SU)
- Small pieces of floral & green pattern paper (from my Anna Griffin box set)
- French Manuscript Stamp (Oasis11E)
- Tree For All Seasons Stamp (SU set)
- Palette Nor Ink
- Chocolate Chip & Olive Ink (SU)
- COPIC Markers (keep an eye on the Galaxy these might just be landing any time)
- Coffee orzanga ribbon & small cream silk ribbon
- Mink Special Edition Zoomz
- Nestabilities circle dies
- Scor-it board
- Concave punch (Creative Imagination)
- Fiskars trimmer (the cutting deck bit is getting a bit knackered at the moment)
Pretty straight forward card really, cut out the innter circle from white cardstock, stamped on the summer tree image from the set and coloured in with COPICS. Matted on pink, then green, then brown cardstock.
Stamped french manuscript on pink cardstock twice (one below the other), the cut out and inked on Chocolate Chip ink. Put on a larger than I would normally use matt, and then used then produced ticket corners. Tied round some brown organza ribbon, and a tiny scrap of cream silk ribbon. ** Zindorf’s inspiring me so much at the moment, and the sponged on Chocolate Chip ink was a homage to her, also I saw a fabbie card on Deb’s blog, and this gave me the idea for using the script stamp (I think the original card came from Heather).
The floral pattern paper was cut to size, and edged with Old Olive ink, then placed on the lefthand side, added the manuscript section over the top, and the circle image over this positioned slightly to the top right.
Zoomz placed at bottom left, and more coffee organza round spine.
I will place an insert inside with a stamped image, and decorate the envie as usual, and also I stamp an old Handstamped image on the back of the card (it’s an old SU set that I bought from Caz).
***
In our house, these pesky Sylvanian’s get everywhere (as you can see from the pic). Lydia’s just taken delivery of the Wedding Chapel, thus the bridge and groom are out for a photographic opportunity before getting hitched!
Thank to Guy I got a better picture of the card than my first attempt, apparently (and as he’s just proved) it’s not the camera, but me. I think I really do need to invest in a light tent, as I can’t phaff around taking things outside to photograph.
Hopefully, when I get a studio outside, then I can have a light tent permanently set up.

You're intelligent and witty, yet surprisingly low maintenance.
